Building Your Dream Resume: Learn More

resume building, writing, editing, proofreading

You don't need to have a lot of experience to make a resume that stands out. Here's how you can get started:

1. Focus on your strengths and weaknesses—and be honest about what they are.

2. Use bullet points instead of paragraphs when listing your skills and accomplishments.

3. Don't be afraid to brag, especially if you're applying for a job that requires confidence.

Over the years, what the common workplace has changed due to technology and the societal demands that are taking place in the modern world. Instead of shying away from change, it is important to embrace it.

When writing a resume, it's important to remember who will be reading it. If you are applying to a job in an industry that is light-hearted, it would make sense for your tone to remain easy going.

However if you're applying to a position that requires confidence, assertiveness, or many technical skills it would be smart to put that intention in your resume.

This can be accomplished by avoiding "I" statements and paragraphs in the resume. For example, describe exactly what you've achieved by using power words such as "Executed 45 outbound calls, build rapport with clients, and closed sales with a 40% ratio."

Instead of saying, "I created designs for the digital software" it would make more sense to make your claim for concise. I would rephrase your statement by stating that several designs were created using Adobe software to increase visual aesthetic of the company's website.

Keep in mind, that there are professional social media sites that list several job opportunities daily. In addition to this, artificial intelligence software can assist you when developing a resume that suits your style.

List experience that is relevant to the position you are applying for and don't be afraid to add on honorable awards and unique achievements.
